My passion for photography emerged while touring the eastern United States with the band Bubonik Funk. What started as a way to document the eclectic experiences we encountered gradually evolved into something deeper—a method to synthesize the myriad people, places, and ideas that were shaping me. So, in drawing inspiration from the various avant-garde ‘isms’, I began to shift how I viewed photography’s role from something simply to capture a moment into a tool that could express the unseen - something closer to the truth than, perhaps, the original photo could convey.
